Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
The occupationaltherapist (OT) delivers quality therapy services to patients by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes. The OT is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for OccupationalTherapy. The OT actively participates in discharge planning, implements the treatment program, and reassesses treatment results. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including significant others, and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with St. Joseph Regional Rehabilitation Center's mission, ethical standards, and policies and procedures.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

Required: Bachelor's degree
Preferred: Master's degree
Required: OccupationalTherapy Major

Experience
Preferred: one to two years of clinical experience
Required: Basic computer and data entry skills

Licensure/Certifications
Required: Licensed by the State of Texas- OccupationalTherapy; CPR certified; Certified by the National Board for Certification in OccupationalTherapy (NBCOT)
Preferred: member of the American OccupationalTherapy Association (AOTA); Member of the Texas OccupationalTherapy Association (TOTA)
