Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for oversight and coordination of activities related to simulation, with oversight of the nursing simulation center for the Texas Division. Reports to the Division Vice President of Nursing Practice, Education & Research. Accountable for planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of simulation activities for nursing and inter-professional partners, designed to meet goals in professional development, improved outcomes, quality and patient safety.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study
- Preferred - Master's Degree in relevant field of study
Licensure/Certification:
- RN - Current Texas RN License
- Instructor Level BLS through American Heart Association
- Instructor Level ACLS through American Heart Association
- Instructor Level PALS through American Heart Association
Experience:
- Seven (7) years of experience in the discipline to include:
- Three (3) years Critical Care or Emergency nursing experience
- Three (3) years experience in simulation in a clinical or academic setting
- Three (3) years of leadership experience
