Responsibilities

Analyzing lab testing is pretty complex. We depend on our MT's knowledge and skills when it comes to evaluating medical lab tests to determine what’s happening with our patients. They are vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Join our CHI lab team today!


What you’ll do:
Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, or spinal, to determine presence of normal or abnormal components
Collect biological specimens from patients
Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative or qualitative analysis
Enter data from analysis of medical tests or clinical results into computer for storage


Qualifications

Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Chemical, Physical, Biological Science
OR
Associate's Degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Chemical, Physical, Biological Science AND minimum of two (2) years clinical laboratory experience to qualify for high complexity testing under CLIA regulations.

Licensure/Certification:
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) through a nationally recognized accredited agency (AMT, ASCP, ABOR)

Experience:
None
*Unless minimum of two (2) years’ experience to qualify for high complexity testing under CLIA regulations was accepted in lieu of education requirements stated above.
