Responsibilities

As a Histotechnologist (HTL) with CHI you will responsible for performing complex histological clinical laboratory procedures on patient specimens under the direction of Histotechnologist Lead, Medical Director and Director of Laboratory Services. Accurately processes, analyzes and reports all tests ordered in a timely manner to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Performs calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings. Responsible for organizing work load as assigned. Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct in support of CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Mission & Vision. Connect with CHI today!


Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Chemical, Physical, Biological Science. 

OR

Associate’s Degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Chemical, Physical, Biological Science and minimum of two (2) years’ clinical laboratory experience to qualify for high complexity testing under CLIA regulations. 

OR

High School Diploma/equivalent &

*minimum of two (2) years’ clinical laboratory experience to qualify for high complexity testing under CLIA regulations.

Licensure/Certification

Required:

Certified as a Histologist (HT or HTL) through a nationally recognized accredited agency (i.e. AMT, ASCP, ABOR)
