Responsibilities
Position Summary:
All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity. The primary role of the SLP is to provide quality patient care though assessment and treatment. The SLP under general supervision of the Rehabilitation Director has a wide range of freedom in applying individual professional judgment discretion and skill in patient management. The SLP has responsibilities for assigned patients including evaluation treatment planning patient treatment and documentation of care. Therapists are assigned patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatrics. Assignments are dependent on the specific experience training and demonstrated competence of the therapist and the needs of the patients. The SLP is expected to develop their clinical skills with ultimate responsibility for assuming clinical competency.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an SLP experience in health care services is highly desirable.
- Current licensure in the state of California. Recent graduates who are board eligible will be considered for provisional appointments.
- Certification through ASHA for CCCs. (CFY candidates must apply at conclusion of CFY).
- Must maintain current BLS and Fire Safety cards.
