The Nurse Residency Program (NRP) at CHI St. Vincent prepares new graduates in nursing to enter practice in the acute care environment. For over 125 years, CHI St Vincent has been dedicated to preparing new nurses for entry into practice. Today, that commitment is stronger than ever, with an excellent program for new graduates interested in a nursing career that is built on a firm foundation. By maintaining a high level of knowledge and skill among all who serve our patients, we provide high quality nursing care.
With over 750 transitioned RN Residents from 26 U.S. states and 5 foreign countries, CHI St. Vincent offers a supportive pathway into nursing practice for the new graduate nurse. Simulation, didactic courses, clinical experiences, reflection, and continuous feedback are offered to participants to ensure success.
The program prepares nursing graduates to:
Care for patients with increasing levels of acuity and complexity in the hospital setting
Develop clinical nursing leadership at point of care
Improve patient safety and quality of care
Foster critical thinking skills
Bring evidence-based practice to the bedside
Strengthen the commitment to the profession of nursing and develop individual career goals
Facilitate clinical and leadership skills necessary to be a successful member of the health care team
Responsibilities
In accordance with our mission and core values, the registered nurse will perform care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills based on the application of the nursing process. The RN uses assessment skills to ensure multidisciplinary patient care and teamwork to meet established practice guidelines, unit specific policies, and regulatory standards.
Must have completed an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associates, Bachelors, Masters)
Must have less than 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care
Must hold a temporary or permanent Arkansas nursing license (required before date of hire – not required for application
We currently have availability in specialty Med/Surg, Critical Care, Perioperative, Cardiac and Psych.

Qualifications
We are offering a $10,000 Sign on Bonus to new nurse grads who meet the following eligibility requirements:
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
BLS required
ACLS required on telemetry units within 12 months of hire

*New Graduate Nurses are hired into all clinical areas, including specialty areas, depending on need.
