Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist in the Cath Lab Is responsible for obtaining quality invasive diagnostic data during all studies performed in the Cardiac Catheterization lab on inpatients and outpatients ranging from adult to geriatric age. The CVRT will drive the x-ray table, monitor x-ray equipment and scrub in diagnostic and interventional procedures with the cardiologist and radiologist. Demonstrates ability to assess needs of patients relative to their specific needs. Supports and participates in continuous quality improvement activities at both the department and organizational level. Participates in the technical on-call program.


Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography required
  • Associates Degree Required
  • Registered or Registry - eligible as a RT by the ARRT. TDH License as a Medical Radiologic Technologist or eligible
  • 1 year of experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist in a Cath Lab required
