The Behavioral Health Department has been on an evolving journey from a siloed outpatient specialty model towards one that is coordinated with Primary Care and other specialties. The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) in this model collaborates with our psychiatrists and the primary care team, providing goal-oriented treatments through short-term individual therapy sessions as well as specialized therapy groups. BHCs also have the opportunity to develop educational materials and programs for providers or to propose additional ideas for expanding our department’s collaborative services. Our department’s team of BHCs and psychiatrists regularly meets for case discussion, provider support, and ongoing development of our collaborative care model.
The ideal candidate will be focused on providing evidence-based interventions, patient goal-setting, time-limited therapy techniques, and working closely with other providers and staff to coordinate care.
We offer compensation that incentivizes quality over productivity. We do have flexibility to consider a condensed number of work days per week.
