The posted compensation range of $27.45 - $39.80 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities
Physical Therapy Assistant follows the treatment plan and assists patients in their therapeutic and physical rehabilitation, under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
- Performs visits as prescribed in the physician’s plan of treatment and in compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Uses clinical skills to monitor patient status and response to treatment and care provided.
- Reports changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel and the attending physician.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to patient and/or caregiver needs, customs or feelings.
- Provides patient care education to patients and other caregivers.
- Completes and submits all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Submits appropriate and timely written documentation on all visits to the supervising Physical Therapist (PT) for cosigning.
- Meets with PT for general supervision to ensure all state specific requirements are met, including but not limited to; frequency of meetings as it pertains to years of practice, duration of the meetings; amount of face-to-face meetings required.
- Participates in case conferences, summary reports, quarterly record review, in-services or special case orientations.
Qualifications
- Associates degree from an accredited school approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Currently licensed to practice in the state-serviced.
- Must obtain and maintain current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Valid driver's license, car insurance & reliable transportation
- One year of physical therapy experience in a clinical setting is required
