This position is a Cardiovascular Technologist II

Responsibilities

Completes a comprehensive assessment on patients of all ages.
Obtains pertinent medical history from patients by observation or with oral communication.
Documents pertinent medical history from patient on radiology request form.
Uses immobilizing devices as required by the patient’s age, condition or the procedure as determined by patient assessment.Ensures that communication supports the plan of patient care.
Performs radiologic procedures on patients of all ages properly, according to the Radiology Procedure Manual standard of obtaining diagnostic images.
Performs venipuncture under the supervision of a physician on patients of all ages.
Performs clerical tasks to support the patient plan of care.
Assist with Quality Improvement checks and programs as they relate to the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Functions as a lead technologist during the absence of the Technical Supervisor.
Provides education for students, patients, self and others appropriate for the age that is being served.
Pursues educational self-development in order to maintain ARRT certification.
Completes mandatory in-services.
Maintains CPR certification according to Health Care Provider course standards by the American Heart Association.
Attends school faculty meetings or monthly department meetings.
Participates in department Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.


Qualifications

State MRad and ARRT, ARRT can be acquired in a year after hire if they dont have it already
At least (2) year experience as a cardiovascular Technologist in cath lab setting
Passed an advanced Cardiovascular Registry through either ARRT or CCI (RCIS); preferred
