Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Medical Director, the Department Manager, and Supervisor, the Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for providing respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric critical care patients for St. Rose Dominican Hospital.
  • These services will be delivered in accordance with specific physician orders and department policies and procedures.
  • RCP critical care providers will be required to work a minimum of 80% of scheduled shifts in critical care.
  • This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months experience required with competency assessment. 
  • High school diploma
  • Completion of an approved, accredited school of respiratory. 
  • Outstanding clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills required. 
  • LIC BGT = Licensed Blood Gas Technologist;
    LIC GS = Licensed General Supervisor
  • RG RT Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support - AHA  
  • CT CPRACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support - AHA 
  • RRT= registered RT Existing employees with >20 years experience as CRT will be grandfathered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years or more of recent critical care experience preferred.
  • CT NRP = Neonatal Resuscitation
  • CT CPRPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - AHA
