Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs diagnostic procedures in the field of radiology including x-ray, fluoroscopy and Surgical procedures in a hospital setting. This position is hospital based for inpatient and emergency room support as well as outpatient locations.

Knowledge of:

  • Anatomy and physiology (to include cross sectional when required). Medical terminology related to radiology. Principles of operation and care of radiological and diagnostic imaging equipment including C-arm
  • knowledge of currently accepted radiological procedures. Radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator, patient and public. Image processing systems. Mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current California license as a certified Radiological Technologist: MRADCA
  • BLS-CPR
  • RTR
  • California fluoroscopic permit: FLRADCA
