Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Gilbert, the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, is a 198-bed, not-for profit hospital with more than 1,300 employees and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties.  In 2014, Phoenix Children’s Hospital launched a 22-bed pediatric unit inside the hospital.   Mercy Gilbert opened in 2006 and has been a vital part of the growing community. Today it is the fifth largest employer in Gilbert. During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, Mercy Gilbert provided more than $24 million in community benefit. Responsibilities
Provides excellent care, in the role of Staff Physician, for the patients of Dignity Health Urgent Care Clinics.  Privileged or eligible to obtain privileges at CHR/MGMC. Experience in the evaluation and treatment of acute medical conditions and injuries common to patients of all ages (e.g. chest pain, abdominal pain, infections, laceration repair, orthopedic injuries). Experience in utilizing and interpreting common lab tests, EKGs and plain X-ray studies.

Located in the Town of Gilbert, Az, a suburb of Phoenix, this position is critical to the success of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.


REQUIREMENTS:

Board-certified (or an active board Candidate) in Emergency Medicine or Family Practice, or any other specialty plus a minimum of one year's experience in an acute care setting that includes pediatric and adult patient care. Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department. Licensed physician in good standing in the State of Arizona. MD/DO Unrestricted DEA certification. Knowledge of federal, state, and Dignity Health and MGMC policies on medical care (e.g., EMTALA, patient rights). Physician license in good standing. BLS and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire. PALS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
