The System EngineerVoice role is to provide technology support for developing, integrating, and supporting CommonSpirit Health’s Technology Voice Services.  This role is a position in the voice services group which will provide advanced technical experience related to voice design, implementation, and migrations. This individual is expected to understand common industry voice technology and methodologies to implement a Cisco Voice platform in an enterprise setting.


Responsibilities
  • Work with project managers and other engineers to successfully migrate legacy voice platforms to a Cisco voice technology solution.
  • Continue to evolve and enhance the voice platform for future technology, optimization, and operational excellence. 
  • Help establish technology, documentation, and implementation standards for current and future deployments.  
  • Interpret business and medical requirements into actionable voice technology deliverables. 
  • Capable of moving projects forward with minimal supervision or oversight. 
  • Personally motivated to learn new technologies, understand organizational challenges and use creative processes to deliver improved services for our patents, staff, and ministry. 
  • Remote eligible.

Qualifications
  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience is required. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field is required 
  • Qualified candidates must possess a combination of business and technical skills.  They must be change advocates and innovators, quick learners, results-oriented, and creators of compelling technology roadmaps. Influencing others in a matrixed team environment is critical to success.  
  • Requires 2 or more years of technical voice operations experience with multiple PBX platforms and additional areas including: Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Linux, Windows. Spectralink and CER experience is a big plus.
  • Demonstrated domain specific knowledge in multiple technologies is preferred, including but not limited to: Unified Communications, Contact Center or IT Consulting experience in a Cisco voice technology realm.Cisco focused Unified communications call control platforms, unified messaging, presence technology, and Gateways
  • Experience with Legacy PBXs (Avaya, Nortel, Mitel), 3rd party handsets (Spectralink, Ascom, CareAware), SPOK integrations a big plus 
  • Experience with UC provisioning and monitoring tools 
  • Demonstrated delivery and/or migrations to a unified communications platform including presence technology, unified messaging and 3rd party integrated services
  • Holistic UC understanding: Topology, Network, QOS requirements, troubleshooting voice and network issues, Dial plan, TDM, SIP, carriers and 3rd party integrations.  
  • Strong time management and task focused delivery capabilities.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Industry certifications a plus (CCNA / CCNP – Collaboration) 
  • One or more years of experience in the healthcare or medical industry a plus
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH, Security Privacy plus, and Generally Accepted Privacy Principles (desired) 

TRAVEL AND WORK HOURS:

Ability to travel up to 25% and work varied or non-business hours during implementations.Travel is planned at least 2 months in advance.
