Primary purpose of this role encompasses the responsibility of managing the Storage Technology Services and associated resources. Knowledge in the following technologies is preferred: EMC, Netapp, PURE, and Brocade fiber channel.

The System Managers are responsible for the management of a process including related projects and resources as assigned and may be responsible for the supervision of professional, technical and administrative support staff assigned to the process.

Based upon assignment, managers administer programs and projects supporting assigned process with administrative functions requiring differing levels of risk to the organization while providing for the across-the-board first level management necessary to execute the process, programs, and projects of the organizations.

Incumbents supervise staff including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline and termination procedures.

Incumbents oversee day-to-day operational management of all activities and functions in support of the respective assigned multiple process/programs including developing, implementing and evaluating operating policies, procedures and standards; determining service levels and enhancements; developing and monitoring budgets; providing technical advice and/or oversight to staff or other departments related to area of assignment; evaluating information concerning needs; estimating and coordinating program/unit activities and associated costs; and tactical project execution activities.

The System Manager manages a team accountable for the development, implementation, management, refinement, or support of technologies, systems, and information critical to CommonSpirit Health’s day to day business operations.

The incumbent will oversee a large team focused on a portion of the development or support of an information system, throughout the Information System Life Cycle.

  • Manages the implementation of IT initiatives to support business strategy
  • Provides high-quality services at optimal cost to customers.
  • Develops and implements technologies to improve the performance of a business process and increase profitability.
  • Manages vendor relationships to maximize value to the business.
  • Contributes to the development of standards and changes to systems/applications.
  • Provides technical and business expertise.
  • Manages the development and delivery of training for internal IT users to ensure productive use of existing and new systems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related technical areas or equivalent professional experience required
  • 3 years of relevant technical and business experience required.
  • Business experience should include assignments in one or more business and technical processes.
  • 1 year Information Technology leadership experience required.
  • Experience managing large team preferred.
  • Experience developing or supporting Information Systems or technologies preferred.
  • Experience developing or supporting Information Systems or technologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Information Systems Life Cycle preferred.

A compensation range of $107,000 - $150,000 is the reasonable estimate that CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
