Excellent opportunity for an MRI/X-ray technologist to have autonomy as the sole MRI technologist with no MRI call. In this position you will have the ability to help shape the MRI department, train others in MRI and provide care to a diverse rural community. You will have time to connect with your patients and not feel rushed due to overbooking of appointments. Return to purposeful work!  All of this is in walleye country! As our Mulit- Modality Tech at CHI St. Alexius Health Devil's Lake,  you will help capture quality diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.

CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital accredited by The Joint Commission licensed by the North Dakota State Department of Health and certified by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in the Medicare Program. Our hospital has been committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Lake Region area and surrounding communities since 1902.


Responsibilities
  • Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order
  • Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity
  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)(MR)
  • Licensed or eligible by the North Dakota Society of Radiologic Technologists (RT)(MR)
  • Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Strong oral communications skills
  • Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred:

  • Preferred candidates will be registered in MRI/X-ray/CT or willing to cross-train in CT
