Responsibilities

 The Director, Emergency Services provides clinical leadership and daily operational management of the Emergency Department.  Responsibilities include:  management of daily unit operations; strategic planning; staff education and training, budgeting and expense management; staffing/personnel management, compliance with professional, accreditation, Trauma Coordination, and regulatory standards.  Is responsible for staffing and scheduling; and professional and competency development and assessment. Serves as the organizations Trauma Coordinator; organizing, implementing, tracking and reporting on all trauma requirements. Participates in the local, regional and state trauma program activities.  Serves as the coordinator of the emergency management program. Collaborates with other departments and leaders to ensure quality and continuity of care. Demonstrates the mission, values and ethics of CHI Memorial. Identifies opportunities for stakeholder satisfaction and initiates those measures. Participates with internal and external quality and regulatory initiatives. Is responsible for personal development and education.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) and required licensed in the State of Tennessee.Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.

Required Licensure and Certifications

Current RN license in the State of Tennessee.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
