Thoracic Surgeon - Faculty Physician
The Norton Thoracic Institute (NTI) at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an ABTS BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon. The ideal candidate will have broad training, experience and expertise in all aspects of non-cardiac thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive surgical techniques. ECMO experience is desirable. Special interest in Lung Transplantation is also favorable but not a prerequisite. New grads will be considered. The Norton Thoracic Institute is affiliated with Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix Campus. An academic appointment is available.
The Norton Thoracic Institute is a premier organization with one of the highest quality and busiest lung transplant programs in the country. Our group includes 7 thoracic surgeons practicing at 3 clinic locations, along with a team of renowned advanced pulmonologist, interventional pulmonologists and critical care physicians dedicated to the highest quality care of patients with thoracic diseases. The successful candidate will be a team player and program builder willing to develop the expanding practice right along with the accelerating growth of the Greater Phoenix area.
The NTI is a division of Dignity Health/CommonSpirit Health with vibrant practices at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (571 beds) along with Chandler Regional Medical Center (470 beds), serving all three regions of the Valley of the Sun. Both hospitals are large, not-for-profit referral centers with state of the art facilities including robotic and minimally invasive surgery, vanced endoscopy, Level 1 Trauma programs along with surgery residency training programs.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree
- Successful completion of ACGME approved General Surgery Residency and Thoracic Surgery Fellowship (or an I-6 Tract equivalent)
- Must have or be eligible for Arizona State medical licensure
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- A passion for providing excellent clinical care in a collaborative team based setting
- Willing to abide by and promote the values of Common Spirit Health
