Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Chandler the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 338-bed not-for-profit hospital with more than 2500 employees and almost 1000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999 but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center a Heart and Vascular Center a Wound Healing Center a Family Birth Center and many additional services. During the fiscal year ending June 30 2016 Chandler Regional provided more than $48 million in community benefit. As a result of Dignity Health’s mission to deliver health care and partner with the community nearly 100000 people in the East Valley were reached through community health services. Responsibilities

The PHARMACY DEPARTMENT at Chandler Regional Medical Center supports all departments in the hospital through innovation and automation. The department is open 24 hours per day and utilizes both decentralized and centralized pharmacists along with specialized pharmacists in the areas of infectious disease and cardiology. The technicians assist the pharmacist with the help of the Omnicell automated dispensing machine, Cerner patient care system, and bedside medication verification. Shifts are varied and consist of 10 hour shifts for pharmacists and 8 hour shifts for technicians.
We are seeking an Intermediate Pharmacy Technician who, under the supervision of a pharmacist, performs pharmacy-related functions, in compliance with state/federal regulations and department policies and procedures, that provide optimal pharmaceutical care.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma/GED
A minimum of one year hospital pharmacy or related experience or a graduate of a certified pharmacy technology program
Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
Typing speed 35 wpm
Basic CRT knowledge
Good communication skills
Ability to work as a team member
Knowledge of drug names and basic math
