Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The PBX Operator is responsible for using computer and telephone systems to quickly and kindly answer and appropriately route incoming calls. The PBX operator Handles and announces life safety code calls using multiple systems including overhead Public address and digital paging systems. The incumbent communicates clearly and professionally to achieve desired goals.
Qualifications
Minimum
Education:
HS/GED
Experience:
- Experienced with electronic mail applications.
One Year customer service experience including heavy phone service or call center.
Intermediate Computer skills and accurate typing skills are required.
Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize during high stress situations (code scenarios).
Comfortable and clear speech
Preferred
Three years customer service experience, preferably in a hospital PBX or high volume call center environment.
Experience in the hospital setting is preferred.
English/Spanish bilingual desired.
