Manager, IT Operations
This role will require commute/travel to Bakersfield, CA multiple times per month.
The Manager II, IT Operations is responsible for the supervision of professional, technical, and administrative support staff assigned to the department. This role provides first level management, necessary to execute processes, programs, and projects for the IT Operations department. This role oversees day-to-day operations including but not limited to evaluating operating policies, procedures, and standards, determining service level requirements and enhancements, and developing and monitoring budgets. The Manager II, IT Operations supports leadership in decision making by providing data on project execution and associated costs.
Responsibilities
- Supervises staff including prioritizing and assigning work.
- Ensures staff is trained on day-to-day workflow; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a safe working environment. Promotes learning by sharing diverse scenarios.
- Represents the IT Operations department at a variety of meetings, committees, and/or other related events regarding services, programs, projects and facilities of the department.
- Serves as a liaison with internal departments, executives, external organizations to meet workflow needs.
- Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, and reports.
- Recommends and implements procedures to improve operational effectiveness and enhancements to services or programs.
- Use of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational and strategic planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Monitors progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives and reports variances and makes agreedupon corrections.
- Assesses and validates decisions to predict their potential impact. Advises leadership by analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.
- Uses effective decision making approaches such as consultave, command, or consensus. Ensures that assumptions and received wisdom are objectively analyzed in decisions.
- Customizes solutions to meet clients' dynamic, current and future needs using the company's products, services and capabilities efficiently and effectively.
- Partners with leadership to respond to new business conditions or challenges using one's own expertise and capabilities.
- Conducts performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree - Bachelor's degree required, revelant work experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of decision making process and associated tools and technigues
- Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
- Ability to diffentiate assumptions, perspective and histoical frameworks
- Knowledge of self motivation: ability and willingness to seek out work and drive to accomplish goals
A compensation range of $76,500 - $99,800 is the reasonable estimate that CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
