CHI Health Immanuel located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street offers a full-service hospital cancer center rehabilitation center specialty spine hospital and more. Through our CNA Advance program, CHI Health will cover the cost of state board-approved CNA training for qualified applicants who commit to one year of employment at CHI Health


Responsibilities

Complete CNA coursework while you work at CHI as a Healthcare Support Tech.  You’ll gain valuable skills and experience to aid in the successful completion of the CNA Advance program. If you have a desire to advance your career in a healthcare community paired with a strong work history and customer service skills, we want to talk to you.

What you’ll do:

  • Screen employees, patients, and guests before gaining admittance to our facilities.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by providing assistance to coworkers in use of personal protective equipment.
  • Distribute medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas. Restocks supplies and rotates inventory. 
  • Facilitate effective communication by fielding incoming calls, accepting and communicating with visitors, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate staff.
  • Actively participate in ongoing education to take and pass the CNA state exam in order to transition to a CNA role.


Qualifications

What you’ll need:

  • CNA course completion and obtain certification within 6 months of hire. 
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Critical thinking
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Customer service, guest service/hospitality experience
