The posted compensation range of $22.92 - $25.64 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Job Summary
- Laboratory Assistant III primarily performs laboratory specimen processing specimen sendouts and/or Microbiology specimen processing (including AFB processing).
- Performs clerical and phlebotomy functions (including pediatric and nursery) as described in the Laboratory Assistant II job descriptions as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience
1 year experience in performing laboratory specimen processing specimen send-out protocol and/or microbiology specimen processing/plating (including AFB processing).
Education
None
Preferred: Two years of college in biological sciences.
Licensure
CPT I or II certification from a California Department of Health Services accredited hospital lab or clinic. Certification to include both didactic and practical experience.
PHLEB:CA
Special Skills
Ability to perform all phlebotomy functions including adult pediatric and neonates. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic typing skills required.
