Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced professional to design, develop, test, and maintain a reliable database or data warehouse of accurate information for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH).

As the incumbent, you will play a key role in developing technical processes for integrating, aggregating, consolidating, quality-assuring, and distributing data collected from multiple sources. You will also design and produce custom reports, scorecards, dashboards, metrics, and business intelligence tools to support VMFH's objectives, priorities, and strategic initiatives.

Key areas of focus include trend reporting, forecasting, in-depth analysis of clinical/operational metrics, and definition of meaningful metrics. As part of the role, you will use data management standards and practices to ensure high data quality and meet the increasing demands for critical business data intelligence imposed by various quality initiatives and regulatory requirements.

In addition, you will determine the most credible data sources, techniques, and formats to best deliver outcomes, keep abreast of changing organization needs and priorities, identify quality improvement initiatives, work with CommonSpirit Health regarding local needs, collaborate with internal departments, and identify and resolve data management issues.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Analytics or other related discipline and a minimum of five years of directly related work experience (including data management and analysis) that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.  

Or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
