The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $22.42 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Physical Therapy Tech at Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center you will help the professional staff of occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech pathology in the delivery of patient care activities to allow patients to resume their normal activities.
The Rehab Services department runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.
Every day you will prepare patients for treatment and assist in patient treatment while demonstrating respect towards patients, family members and caregivers. You will be expected to take the initiative to perform preliminary review of patient statuses, including communication with nursing staff in order to advise therapist(s) of potential change in patient's condition or situation. Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for treatment
- Maintains a basic knowledge of how to set up and use equipment
- Communicates effectively and respectfully
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Previous experience working in a patient care environment.
- High school diploma or GED
- AHA BLS
Preferred:
- Acute care setting and/or exercise field experience preferred.
- Degree or certificate in a related field of study
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred.
